Types of headaches:
Tension: caused by the involuntary sustained contraction of the muscles surrounding the skull and face, prolonged mental concentration, stress can bring it on.
Symptoms: pain at the back of the head and upper neck, forehead, around eyes, pain steady can last for hours or days. May cause fatigue or mild depression. It is not uncommon to have them after stress relieved.
Migraine: Cause still not fully know but seems to be related to exaggerated fluctuations in the size of blood vessels to the brain and its surrounding structures. A period of narrowing causes decreased blood flow, followed by a period of dilation during which the onrushing blood stretches pain sensitive tissue.

Cluster headache: Intense painful rare form of headache affects smokers and alcoholics in particular, often misdiagnosed.
Symptoms: severe intense pain, continuous centred around the eye, same side of the face or forehead and temple. Eye may become swollen, red and weepy, running or blocked notes is not uncommon. Unable to sit still. Attacks last from a few minutes to several hours and clusters of up to 8 per day. These clusters can last for up to 6-8 weeks.
